Light-duty, rust-resistant bracket lets you mount a bunk board on its side and enables the board to pivot. Slotted mounting hole allows for height adjustment.

Specs:
Typically mounted upright on a boat trailer's crossmembers, vertical bunk brackets allow you to mount a bunk board on its skinny side and run the board from the front of the trailer to the back. On kayak trailers, these brackets are mounted to the trailer's frame and support bunk boards that run across the trailer.
Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this CE Smith 9 1/2 inch tall galvanized steel light-duty vertical bunk bracket. Now this light duty bracket, it'll let you mount a bunk board onto your boat trailer. It is ideal for two-by-four or two-by-six bunk boards on small craft trailers, and this enables the bunk board to pivot during loading. Up at the very top, you can see the two holes here. These bunk board mounting hole diameters are 7/16 of an inch.
This will stabilize your bunk board when two of these brackets are used. You can see it has the slotted mounting hole right here, which will permit as much as 6 inches of height adjustment during installation. And basically this bracket does install vertically on your boat's trailer frame with a U-bolt. Now the U-bolt is not included, we do sell that separately. Give you a few dimensions on this, the overall height of the bracket, so right at 9 1/2 inches tall, overall width, it's 2 inches wide.
The mounting slot the U-bolt goes in is a half an inch wide and height is 6 inches tall. Now this is an 11-gauge galvanized steel which will resist rust and corrosion. The thick all-around coating on this allows the galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding. Now this part is made in the USA, and again, this is for a quantity of one bracket. But that should do it for the review on the CE Smith 9 /1 inch tall galvanized steel light-duty vertical bunk bracket..

Will keep brackets since they will be on a trailer and appearance is not crucial.

One year later and these brackets look new still
The product (bunker brackets and hardware) I order were an exact fit. They were of very good quality and completely solved all my problems by adding stability to my running boards on my boat trailer. The cost was fair and competitive. Further, all the personnel I dealt with (particularly Kori) were helpful, courteous and efficient. That's the kind of people I want to deal with. No wonder they are a successful business. They know how to treat people. Thanks Kori/etrailer!
This is a very simple product that holds boat trailer bunk boards. It worked well for that purpose. I have ordered a good number of products from etrailer since 2009. Their website with the video demonstrations, tips and measurements is extremely helpful. I've never had to return anything because I knew it was going to do what I wanted it to do before I placed the order.
Sent 1 to replace the 2 damaged because 2 heave galvanized coated braces we shipped in an box with no packing material. They went through the system bouncing against each other every time they were moved. A partial refund would have sufficed, since I already needed them and bought galvanized paint to recoat them. The product is made well and I would say stronger than the light weight rating given. Now I have an extra 1 and a can of zinc coating (always usable when a boat trailer owner. Improper packaging compounded a simple process.
exactly what i needed to repair an older boat trailer. reasonable price and good delivery. thanks
These days, the quality of hot-dipped galvanized steel parts is, at best, iffy. These bunk brackets seem to have a fairly uniform coating of zinc, but there ARE some sharp edges, and filled-in holes that required some filing. The slots (after filing) are actually the advertised 1/2" wide, which, in my experience hasn't always been the case with other manufacturers.
Ordering, and subsequent receipt from etrailer was straightforward, and quick. The order arrived in only two days. Not surprised, as the etrailer folks have exceeded my expectations on every order.
I am still rebuilding the boat trailer. Now that winter is here I am waiting for some warmer weather to work on it again.
This was exactly what I needed. Very solid, galvanized steel. Fast delivery.
Quick shipping and item as described and just what I needed. I would order from them again.
